Euthanasia Technician Training
Euthanasia technicians have the responsibly to ensure animals are painlessly euthanized in such a way as to minimize any fear or discomfort. The state of Texas requires anyone (except a veterinarian) who euthanizes animals in an animal shelter to obtain euthanasia training.

Ray worked in the Animal Services field since 2000 in various roles. He retired after 22 years with the City of Arlington and is now working with the Municipal Animal Services of Everman and Forest Hill Texas.

Euthanasia Technician training
The delivery of a painless and humane end of life services is one of the greatest responsibilities for animal shelter staff. Ensuring animals are treated with compassion and respect, regardless of circumstances is of the utmost importance for a Euthanasia Technician. This class offers in-depth instruction using generally recognized best practices.
This course is approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Participants will receive 7 CE hours for initial training and 6 CE hours for review.
